Deion Jenkins, the 14-year-old half-brother of Soulja Boy, was killed in a car accident on Sunday in Charleston, Mississippi.

A representative for the 20-year-old rapper confirmed to Billboard.com that Jenkins was a passenger in the fatal accident, but could not confirm any other details on the crash.

Earlier on Monday Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Way, posted on Twitter, "at home crying my eyes out I can't believe my Lil bro is gone... today is so not my day.. RIP lil brother love you always :(."

Michael "Miami Mike" Sykes, the President of Soulja Boy's Stacks on Deck Money Gang label, wrote that "the Flags are @ Half Staff @ the Offices of SODMG & PTE, R.I.P. to @Souljaboy little brother who passed-way in a auto crash last nite :-(."

The tragic death came four months after Soulja Boy returned with his third LP, "The DeAndre Way," which has sold 66,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The rapper released "1UP," a free 20-track mixtape, online last Thursday.
