Paul Bryan Venskus, 27, formerly of Dumont, NJ, died accidentally on February 3, 2011 at his home in Westfield, MA. He leaves behind his mother and father, Geraldine (Sullivan) and Alphonse Venskus of Westfield, his brother Alphonse Venskus Jr., who lives in Dumont, NJ with his wife Lillian, and children Max, Sam, and Lucy; his sister Suzanne McElroy who lives in Westfield, MA with her husband, James, and daughter Marea, and his sister, Caitlyn Rock, who lives in Sunderland, MA with her husband, Barry Rock.Paul was a much admired, and beloved flight instructor at Northampton Airport, and was an accomplished aviator with 2,500 hours of flight time and every land rating available. He earned his bachelor's degree at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Nyack, NY, and was a lifelong student of history and aviation.Paul was welcomed in Heaven by his grandparents, Frederick and Helen Sullivan, late of Holyoke, MA, and Alphonse and Mary Venskus, late of Nutley, NJ, as well as many relatives and friends he loved in life. Words can't begin to express the pain and sorrow felt by his family and friends, as his sudden departure from our lives has left a hole that will not be filled. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2011 at 8:30 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass in Saint Patrick Chapel of Saint Jerome Church in Holyoke at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Saint Jerome Cemetery.
