Authorities in Oregon have identified human remains found on an Oregon beach as those of a California tsunami victim missing since last month.

Police say the body of 25-year-old Dustin Weber was found at Oregon's Fort Stevens State Park by someone walking on the beach on April 2, Fox 12 Oregon reports.

Weber was reportedly taking pictures of the massive waves hitting California after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake in Japan when his body was swept into the ocean.

U.S. Coast Guard searched over 250 square miles of coastline near Del Norte County, Calif., where Weber first disappeared. His remains were found 300 miles to the north, Fox 12 Oregon reports.

The body was identified using dental records.
