Avery Spence was a soccer player for Manchester High School in Midlothian, Virginia.

She died Sunday after an accident on Route 360 shortly before noon. Spence was a passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 18 year old Joseph B. Dorazio III. Authorities say the Trailblazer drifted off the left side of the road, where the driver over-corrected and came back across the road and stuck an embankment causing the vehicle to roll over several times.

Spence was ejected from the vehicle and later died at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville. In addition to Spence and Dorazio, other occupants of the vehicle were 18 year olds Adam Sowder and Alex Pecoraro, along with an two unnamed teenage girls 16 and 17 years old. All of the occupants have been taken to hospitals with serious injuries.

Authorities are trying to determine if any of the occupants were wearing seat belts, as the accident remains under investigation.

Dorazio will be charged with reckless driving.
