A 27-year-old woman committed suicide on Sunday and left three suicide notes, in which she stated that her husband was forcing for a divorce, but she was in love with him and would not let him go.

Ruchi Shandilya, a budding fashion designer working with renowned city-based designer Manoviraj Khosla, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her residence in Ulsoor police station limits.

On Sunday afternoon, her husband Prashanth Kumar tried to reach her on her phone, but became concerned when she did not respond after repeated calls.

He then called up his neighbour Rajesh and asked him to check on Ruchi and informed him that he was on the way. "Rajesh called us at 3.30 pm informing that he could see Ruchi through the front window and that she had hanged herself," Prashanth said. On reaching the house, he along with Rajesh broke the door to get in.

"We are investigating the case, however no allegations have been made by either of the families," said the investigating cop at the Ulsoor police station. This reporter tried to contact Ruchi's family, but was informed that her husband and in-laws have gone back to their hometown - Katihar, Bihar.

Neeraj Narundu, Ruchi's brother-in-law, however has made a shocking claim. "She left three suicide notes. One addressed to her husband, the other to her in-laws and the third to her father. Her husband wanted to divorce her and had been forcing her for over a year. But she was in love with him and did not want to let go. There were compatibility issues between the couple and he hated her liberal attitude," claimed Neeraj.

"The note addressed to Prashanth's parents was quite depressing as she blamed them for never standing by her side or trying to patch things up," he added.

While Ruchi's husband and parents remained unavailable for comment, officials at the Ulsoor police station have started investigating the case to detect if there was any foul play involved.
