Police say a box truck carrying a load of doughnuts flipped in a highway construction zone in Indianapolis, killing the driver's wife who was riding in the truck.

The crash happened before dawn Wednesday when the truck owned by Cincy Donuts of Cincinnati hit a concrete barrier on a ramp from Interstate 74 to Interstate 465 on the city's west side and rolled onto its passenger side.

State police 1st Sgt. Dave Bursten says 40-year-old William Collett of Harrison, Ohio, apparently fell asleep while driving to make a doughnut delivery. His wife, 39-year-old Karen Collett, was pronounced dead at the scene, and William Collett was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
