A Klamath Falls man was arrested late Saturday for allegedly shooting and killing his wife at their Freida Street home, authorities said.

Dana Patrick Coburn, 38, allegedly shot Karla Alayne Coburn, 34, in the face with a pistol shortly before midnight Saturday at 4322 Freida St., said Klamath County District Attorney Ed Caleb.

Dana Coburn called 911 at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, and Klamath County sheriff's deputies found Karla Coburn dead when they arrived. They interviewed and arrested Dana Coburn.

It appears a domestic disturbance led to the shooting, Caleb said. The couple's three children, all under the age of 10, were home when the shooting occurred.

Police have Dana Coburn's pistol, which investigators believe he used in the shooting, Caleb said. There is evidence that the gunshot was intentional, Caleb said, but he declined to reveal what the evidence is.
