Harrisburg Police are investigating a homicide involving 18-year-old Keoin Gooding.

They say he was shot in the back and killed early this morning in Harrisburg.

Police say it started around 3 a.m., when they received a call for a fight and shooting at the intersection of Hummel and Mulberry Streets.

Responding officers found nothing at the scene, but a short time later a 911 call went out for a shooting victim on Crescent Street.

Responders found Gooding inside his home deceased, having been shot in the back.

Two of Gooding's sisters were in the family's Crescent Street home when they heard gunshots.

Gooding's family says he was never in trouble and, always smiling.

"He always smiled and made everybody happy. He was goofy. I am always going to love him, always. I guess pick the pieces back up," says Jasmine Brown, Gooding's Sister

They don't understand this senseless act of violence.

" He was awesome. He didn't do anything. He had a smile that could brighten the room up," says Quasha Brown, Gooding's Sister

Police say the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Police.
