Courtney Elizabeth Sinder, 28, beloved daughter of David J. and Laurie (Lewis) Sinder passed away on July 1, 2011, surrounded by her family. Courtney, a lifelong resident of Avon, was born in Hartford. She graduated in 2002 from Avon High School, attended Briarwood College and, in 2007, received a Bachelor's Degree from University of Connecticut. Courtney especially enjoyed spending time with her dear friends and coworkers. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Interim Health Care for ten years, and had many interests such as scrapbooking, shopping, American Idol, and especially ballroom dancing. Courtney will be remembered for her amazing spirit, perseverance and kind heart. She was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Betty Lewis, of Avon; a sister, Tiffany Sinder of New York City; a brother, Gregory Sinder of West Hartford; aunts and uncles, Richard and Diane Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis and Sandy Marquez, and Joan Sinder. She will be deeply missed by her primary caregiver and best friend, Kendra Zizzamia and Kendra's husband Frank, as well as all the nurses who cared for her and were a part of her life for the past 27 years.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Courtney's Life Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 10 a.m., at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home of Avon.
