The Cumberland County district attorney said Justin Thompson, 33, admitted to shaking his 4-week-old daughter, Ahzyre Thompson.

Thompson told them his daughter woke up crying on the morning of Sept. 1. He grabbed her and shook her for about three to five seconds before putting her back down, unaware of the injuries, police said.

The shaking happened at the family's home on Wiltshire East in South Middleton Township, police said.

Police said that at the hospital, Thompson's 6-year-old daughter said, "Someone should arrest my daddy. He was beating on my sister."

Autopsy results show the infant had hemorrhages in her brain, eyes and spinal cord.

Thompson is in Cumberland County Prison without bail.
