Three vehicles collided in a head-on crash on SR 30 around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, leaving one person dead.

Officials say that Logan Fulgham, 19, suffered a medical condition that caused him to cross over the lane divider into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with a gray Chevy Trailblazer. The impact of the collision pushed the two cars into a pickup truck pulling a camping trailer. Fulgham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Trailblazer was extricated from the vehicle and flown to Ogden Regional Medical Center in serious condition. He is a 34-year-old male from Nibley.

The four riders of the pickup truck --two adults and two children-- were uninjured, though the 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for abdominal pain.

Utah Highway Patrol closed both directions of traffic on the highway north of Tremonton for three hours while they investigated the scene. It appears speed and alcohol were not factors.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
