Aaron Collon Cayton, 17, Rapid City, passed away at home on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011.

He was born Oct. 10, 1993, in Rapid City to Collon H. and Denise (Ohlrogge) Cayton. He attended grade school at Zion Lutheran School; Dakota Middle School and was currently attending Central High School.

Aaron played the trumpet, accordion and he loved to master things and go on with life. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. His plans were to become a diesel mechanic.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Denise Cayton, five sisters, Nichole and brother (in-law) Ali Berry; Alisha and brother (in-law) Chris Conley, all of Rapid City; Latisha Ohlrogge (Cory Groshong), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Miquelynn Lopez, Gillette, Wyo.; Kim Lopez (Brian Demma), St. Anthony, Idaho; two stepsisters, Andrea Black and Aspen Lopez, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; maternal grandparents, Duane and Betty Ohlrogge, Piedmont; paternal grandparents, Collon and Sharon Cayton, Smithfield, Va.; three aunts, Catherine Hemsher, Laramie, Wyo.; Anitamae Purchase, Sioux Falls, and Michele Acre, Rapid City; his uncle, Michael (Brenda) Ohlrogge, Piedmont; Godparents, Steve and Judy Darling Sr., Black Hawk and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Collon in 1999, his uncle, Frank Hemsher and cousin, James Hemsher.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to assist with the cost of the monument.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Piedmont Valley Lutheran Church. Aaron will be laid to rest in the Piedmont Cemetery at a later date.
