CONYERS, Mr. Jo'Van B. – Age 19, passed away Monday, September 1, 2008 at Henry Ford Hospital. Mr. Conyers lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Flint, MI 48505. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today, September 5, 2008 at Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Family hour will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville, MI 48111 at 9:00AM with funeral service commencing at 10:00AM. Immediately following funeral, Mr. Conyers will be laid to rest at Interment New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, G-4142 Flushing Rd., Flint, MI 48504. Mr. Jo'Van Bernard Conyers was born January 24, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Stella Vasquez and Kenneth Conyers. Jo'Van was a resident of Belleville, MI and a member of St. Anthony Parish. He graduated from Belleville High School. Jo'Van was employed at Kroger and Secrui tas. He enjoyed bowling, music, skating and football. Mr. Jo'Van B. Conyers leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Estella Vasquez; father, Kenneth Conyers; stepmother, Nikeeta Mitchell-Conyers; grandparents, Louis (Bernice) Conyers; sister, Stella Vasquez-Dortch; 2 brothers, Ramon Vasquez of Flint and Leonard Dortch of Ypsilanti, MI; 2 stepbrothers, Julian C. Mitchell and Austin R. Mitchell; 2 nieces, Dayja and Dayna Dortch, all of Belleville, MI; 4 nephews, Leonard Dortch III, Antonio Dortch, Dalontae Ford-Dortch and Jeremiah Vasquez-Gray, all of Flint; 6 aunts, Desiree Conyers of Ann Arbor, MI, Mardese Conyers Holmes of Flint, Janie Vasquez San Antonio, TX, Licha (Narciso) Balderrama of Richmond, TX, Bertha (Lorenzo) Esquire of San Antonio, TX and Monica Conyers of Flint; uncle, Antonio Vasquez of Houston, TX; cousins, Aireka Reeves of Novi, MI, Serrita (Nick) Jude of Flint, Phyllis Conyers of Ypsilanti, MI, Victor Vasquez, Marcie Garcia and Toni Williams, all of Texas; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend Cedrick Howard. Mr. Conyers was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonio and Sylvia Vasquez; and uncle, Anthony Conyers.
