Mrs. Brandi Kaye (Rockwell) Peli, 22, of 79032 Bowie Loop, Fort Hood, Texas, and formerly of 11403 Rhapsody Road, Greencastle, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, in her home.

Born Dec. 17, 1988, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Brian Scott "Rocky" Rockwell, Sabillasville, Md., and Jodi Lynn Lafferty, Greencastle.

Brandi graduated from Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School with the Class of 2006. She later graduated with the 2010 Class of Hagerstown Community College with a degree in registered nursing.

She was employed by Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Temple, Texas, as an RN.

Brandi and her husband, Roman Joseph Peli, were married Jan. 13, 2010, in Hagerstown.

During her high school career, she participated in field hockey, softball and track and field, where she participated in the javelin throw and pole vault. She loved nature and being outdoors, including fishing, golfing, hunting and working out.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her stepfather, John Michael Carmack, Coffeyville, Kan; her brother, Jesse W. Carmack, and his fiancee, Sydney A. Bowers of Greencastle; maternal grandparents, T. Wayne and Sandra K. Lafferty, Smithsburg, Md.; paternal grandmother, Mary June Rockwell, Cascade, Md.; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Cribbs, Vandergrift, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
