A motorcyclist is dead after police said he rode head-on into a Jeep.
It happened Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Southwest 9th Street and Thornton Avenue.
Police said the motorcyclist, Ryan Lancial, 28, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the Jeep, which was turning onto Southwest 9th Street.
Officers said Lancial was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Cherokee was later identified as Clark Williamson, 66.
Detectives said they are still investigating the crash.
