Kathryn M. Spivey, 24, of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012.

Kathryn was born in Blacksburg, Virginia, on June 19, 1987, the daughter of Pamela H. Spivey and the late Laurence C. Spivey.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, the Reverend Charles and Peggy Spivey,, and Donald Hammond.

Kathryn graduated from CATEC, Certified Nursing Assistant Program in November 2011, Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville and Charlottesville High School 2007. Kathryn is survived by her mother, Pamela H. Spivey; sister, Jessica C. Spivey; her uncle and his family, Mike and Liz Spivey, Sarah Davis, Lauren Spivey and Julia Spivey; and her maternal grandmother, Pat Hammond of Florida. She was well known and well loved by all friends and family. She was a very outgoing, energetic, loving person. She cared about other people and helping out whenever or where ever she could. She volunteered for different events with her church, Aldersgate United Methodist and also with PACEM. We have also been told by her being an organ donor she has already saved a minimum of two lives.

She was an amazing daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and most of all a friend, the bests of friends to anyone and everyone. She will be greatly missed but the presence of her amazing spirit will last in our hearts forever. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends beginning 12:30 p.m.
