With profound sadness, our beautiful and adored son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend slipped peacefully away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Royal Victoria Health Centre, Barrie, after a five-year battle with leukemia and two bone marrow transplants. Surrounded by his loving parents and sister, Adam James Fedosoff, at the tender age of 17, battled with hope, strength, dignity and grace. We are beyond proud of the fight he gave and the courage he showed. He is now pain free and leukemia free riding his Specialized Project Black SR3 in the Mountains of Paradise. He is the ultimate champion. Adam embraced life and also those that he loved with great passion, always striving to do his best in everything he did. With a naturally driven talent for sports, he was a superstar hockey player, AC/DC and Angus Young fanatic, an avid cyclist, and a successful ambassador and fundraiser, helping children afflicted with cancer enjoy some quality of life. His love of cycling extended to his Les Domestiques and Team Race cycling groups making lifelong friends along the way. Exceptional and talented guitarist, we will always treasure his sweet soul. Adam will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten as he touched the hearts of so very many around the world, even to those that didn't know him.Beloved and wonderful son of Jason and Lorraine, baby brother to Ashleigh, grandson of Robert and Maureen Irvine, Joseph and Shirley Fedosoff, nephew of Stewart and Joanne Irvine, Jordan Fedosoff, and cousin to Bradley, Kyle, Mary (Fedosoff) and Allison Irvine. Equally important is becoming part of the One Match bone marrow donor registry and donating blood regularly. He thanks his two bone marrow donors for their incredible bravery. Adam was also thankful to Starlight Starbright for granting him a wish. He was forever grateful. Sincerest thanks go out to Ronald McDonald House in Toronto, Candlelighters, the entire community of Barrie, Ontario, Barrie Minor Hockey Association, the many nurses and staff at the Hospital for Sick Children, Royal Victoria Hospital, Bloorview Rehab, CCAC, St. Elizabeth Nurses, and the many, many supporters who rallied around our family for the past five years. Visitation will be at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St Vincent St. (just north of Cundles Rd.), Barrie, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at Collier Street United Church (112 Collier St., Barrie) on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 12 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1 o'clock p.m. In lieu of flowers, I urge you to make a donation to The Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation to support childhood cancer research, so that no parent watches their child suffer. This charity gave Adam incredible determination, the will to survive and the focus to fund research across the nation so that one day childhood cancer is no more.
