A township man was killed when he was thrown from the motorcycle he was driving after striking a trash can, mail box and parked pickup truck on Williamstown Road, police said Wednesday.
Frank P. O'Hara 3rd, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
O'Hara was driving west on Williamstown Road near the Route 55 overpass about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the motorcycle.
A witness told police O'Hara was "riding recklessly at a high rate of speed" shortly before the crash.
Officer D. Jernegan is investigating. Police were assisted at the scene by the Franklin Township Fire Department, Underwood-Memorial Paramedics, Franklin Ambulance Squad and the Gloucester County Medical Examiner's Office.
