Anderson County deputies said Friday they have arrested one man and are looking for another in connection with the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in barrels in Lake Hartwell on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, deputies said a woman's body was found inside a barrel near Asbury Park on the shores of the lake. They said the body had been in the drum for about 30 days.

"We had some law enforcement officers in the area," said Chad McBride, a spokesman for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. "One of them actually came across the barrel, [and] something obviously didn't seem right."

By the afternoon, deputies said a second drum with the remains of a man inside was found in the lake near the intersection of Centerville and Sandy Springs roads.

Deputies said the woman whose body was found in the first barrel was identified through fingerprints. Shore identified her as 37-year-old Andrea Kellie Mitchell, of Anderson.

Shore said he had identified the man as 53-year-old Tony McGinnis, of Starr. Earlier this month, deputies said McGinnis, who they described as a vagrant, was reported missing in September. Shore said McGinnis' body had been dismembered.

McBride said deputies served a search warrant at the Centerville Road home of 35-year-old John Michael Young on Thursday night. He said Young is wanted on two counts of murder in connection with the deaths, but his whereabouts are not known.

Shaine Fischer was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of murder in connection with the deaths, McBride said.

McBride said investigators believe that Mitchell, McGinnis, Young and Fischer had the same circle of friends and were acquainted with each other.

A cause of death was not immediately released for either Mitchell or McGinnis. According to arrest warrants, investigators believe McGinnis was killed in September and Mitchell was killed in October.
