Investigators are looking for a suspect in an overnight shooting at a local night club that left one man dead and three wounded in northwest Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to a call of a shooting at 4:40 a.m. early Sunday at Club Le Cave, located at the 4700 block of West FM 1960.
When they arrived they found one man, Timothy Powell, 21, shot to death at the main entrance and three other men with gunshot wounds, according to a press release from HCSO. A fifth man was found with injuries sustained from an assault.
The four men were transported to area hospitals to be treated for their injuries.
Witnesses told deputies that shortly before the shooting bouncers with the club intervened in a fight between two groups of customers, the release stated. Security ejected five men for fighting.
One of the men returned from the parking lot and fired multiple shots at security standing near the main entrance, the release stated. The suspect then fled the scene.
There about 600 customers in the club at the time of the shooting, investigators said. The Fire Marshal's Office is also investigating the club.
