Funeral services for Rachel Agnes Strange, 26, of Alvarado, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy McLelland officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12 Noon - 2 p.m. before the service.
Rachel passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Alvarado. She was born in Dallas, Texas on February 21, 1986, the daughter of Judith (Reeves) and Clifton James Strange.
Rachel was a delightful young woman who was living her dream, pursuing her singing career. A student at TCC, she was also the lead female vocalist of The Enablers and had won many singing and karaoke competitions. Rachel loved life, had a big heart and a wonderful laugh. Her smile would light up a room and she loved helping others. Rachel was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton James Strange; grandfather, Bill Strange; and grandmother, Evelyn Buckner.
Rachel is survived by mother, Judith Strange of Conroe, Texas; brother, Nathan Strange; grandmother, Lillian Strange, both of Dallas, Texas; aunts, Mary Holden and husband, John, of Willis, Texas and Nicki Strange Elieff and husband, Steve, of Frisco, Texas; uncles, Arthur "Uncle Bubba" Buckner and wife, Karen, of Willis, Tommy Strange of Dallas, Jayson Strange of Mesquite, Texas, Mike Strange and wife, Sherry, of Arkansas, and Gary Strange of Cedar Hill, Texas; the love of her life, Blake Keating of Alvarado; numerous great aunts and uncles; lots and lots of cousins; and many other family members and friends.
