The two week search for a missing Snohomish couple appears to have ended in tragedy. A car with the bodies of a man and a woman inside was found in the Snohomish River Wednesday morning.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said a red 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage was found near the 6600 block of River Road. Investigators say a deputy out looking for the couple spotted the car in the river just off the road.

The vehicle is believed to be the one that Jason Dolman, 31, and Riza Ysulat, 36, were traveling in when they disappeared Jan. 8.

Authorities haven't officially confirmed it was the couple inside the car. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office will make the official identifications, but officials do believe the people found inside were likely Dolman and Ysulat.

Friends say the two had gone out for the day on January 8 and never returned. The pair met at the nearby Jack in the Box, where they both worked and had been together several months.
Riza reportedly worked two jobs, the other at a local Fred Meyer, and she sent much of her money home to her teenage son in the Philippines. The hope was for him to finish high school and possibly attend college in America.

Dolman is described by friends as a "sweet man" with a baby boy around a year old.

"I mean we've been living with her missing. so it's been weird with no answers," said Robert Henne, Riza Ysulat's roommate, "and just today we just got the information and we're still kinda digesting it."

To the untrained eye, it appeared the driver may have just lost control of the car on the very dark, often foggy stretch of road with just a little 2-foot berm to keep cars out. But police are just beginning their investigation and say it's still too soon to rule out foul play.
