A Calhoun teenager reportedly on life support Tuesday, died after being injured in a car crash on Beamer Bottom Rd. Saturday, April 20, according to Georgia State Patrol.

Kayleigh Kown, 15, of Calhoun was one of three, in a pickup truck which landed upside down in a creek, after the driver lost control.

Kayleigh was taken to Erlanger where she fought for her life since Saturday.

Fellow students of Kown's at Sonoraville High School compiled a Youtube video in which a large group of students, clad in camouflage "for Kayleigh," sent a message of hope to their classmate saying in a unified voice "stay strong Kayleigh."

The driver of the vehicle lost control after entering a curve at a high rate of speed, according to reports.

Kown was the only fatality, and a second passenger and the driver sustained only minor injuries.

All three were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
