An early morning shooting on Friday has left one person dead.

Investigators said that victim, Tyrhee Strachon, 20, died at Reading Hospital early Friday morning.

Neighbors along Woodward Street said a gunshot woke them up just before 1:00am Friday. Gary Feltenberger told 69 News that when he looked outside, he saw a man lying in the street.

"Obviously he got shot because he was moaning and everything saying 'help me'," Feltenberger said.

By daylight Friday, a small memorial marked the spot where police said Strachon was shot. A chalk circle made note of the place where investigators said they found the casing of a shotgun shell.

"I know who [Strachon] is. He actually used to live here on the second floor," said neighbor Michelle Warunek pointing to the apartment building where she lives.

Warunek said she was shocked to hear the victim was her former neighbor.

"He was a very respectful neighbor," Warunek said. "He was a good person. Gonna miss him."

Police reports allude a different side of Strachon.

Investigators said they found the victim's car hurriedly parked near the shooting scene. According to a search warrant, police also found a grocery bag near the car containing what they believe to be Heroin and crack cocaine.

Criminal records also show that Strachon pleaded guilty to indecent assault, drug charges, criminal trespass, theft and resisting arrest in 2009.

Strachon was taken to Reading Hospital where he died.

No arrests have been made.
