Davida May Carlow, 47, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Calais Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Davida was born Sept. 26, 1965, in Calais, daughter of David and Dale (McLaughlin) Carlow Sr.

She graduated from Woodland High School, class of 1983, and held various jobs including wreath making, assisting people with their taxes, being a caregiver, and most recently working at Johnson's True Value. Davida enjoyed gardening, crafts, crocheting, camping, fishing and traveling.

She was predeceased by her father, David Carlow Sr. Surviving is her loving mother, Dale Carlow of Baileyville; three sons, Timothy Johnson of Calais, Cody Johnson and companion, Staci, of Old Town and John Lawless of Baring; two grandsons, Josh and Parker; sister, Dawn Carlow and companion, Cindy, of Hooksett, N.H.; three brothers, David Carlow Jr., Dean Carlow and companion, Missi Sears, and Duane Carlow and wife, Nancy, all of Baileyville; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Jill Skillings, Ray Beaulieu, Brenda Perkins and Diane Perkins; and her "extended family" at Johnson's True Value.

A celebration of Davida's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Burial will be afterward at Woodland Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.maysfuneralhome.com.
