Spc. Ronnie J. Pallares, 19, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., died Oct. 23 in Andar district, Ghazni, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 27th Engineer Battalion, Fort Bragg, N.C. A 2008 graduate of Alta Loma High School, he is survived by his mother, Brenda Pallares, brothers Danny Ray Aguayo, John Albert Garcia and Roland Garcia, sisters Priscilla Garcia and Alexandra Garcia and grandparents Richard and Lucy Pallares, Uncle Richard Pallares, wife Cristal (Kandice, Khristian, Isabella) Uncle Vincent Pallares (Sarah). Aunt Elaine Pallares (Nina, Adrianna, Andrew) Ronnie's Fiance Vanessa Jauregui, great-grand parents, Cheti and Lupe Pallares.
