The wife of a cyclist killed while riding to work on a Fife road has paid tribute to the "devoted grandfather" who was "larger than life".

Alastair Dudgeon, 51, from High Valleyfield, died in hospital following a crash with a car on the A985 Kincardine by-pass on Sunday.

Mr Dudgeon was cycling to work at Tesco's Camelon store in Falkirk at 02:00 when the accident happened.

Patricia Dudgeon said her husband's death was a "devastating blow".

Mrs Dudgeon said: "Ali was a much-loved husband, father and stepfather and a devoted grandfather.

"His loss is a devastating blow that will be heartfelt by everyone who knew his larger-than-life personality and unique sense of humour."

Alastair was a baker of more than 30 years' experience with Tesco. He had recently moved from a branch of Tesco's in Stirling.

Outside of work, Mr Dudgeon played golf and supported Rangers Football Club.
