Amanda Rose Butcher, 31, of Enola, passed on from the arms of her fiancé, Michael Errickson into the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 5, 2012.
Born in Harrisburg on January 31, 1981, she graduated from East Pennsboro High School, class of 2000 and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She loved children and her dream was to be an elementary school teacher.
Amanda was cared for by many health professionals over a 24 year period, from the Univ. of Iowa Bone Marrow Transplant Unit to Monmouth Med Center; to the U.S. Renal Care in Camp Hill, Harrisburg Hospital Kidney Transplant Team, Hershey Med Center Oncology Unit and Holy Spirit Hospital. Her family thanks you.
In addition to her fiancé, Amanda leaves behind her parents, Anita Gonzalez of Summerdale and Clifford Liddick, Jr. and his wife Joan of Shermansdale, her sisters, Kim Herns and her husband Glennrick and Michelle Hainsworth and her husband Jack of Campbell, OH, and Faith Willis and her husband Dan of Clarksville, TN.; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Alex and Jeremy Hainsworth; Rieon, Rhea, Rachael and Daniel Herns; Austin and Trevor Willis; several aunts, uncles and cousins and a huge church family.
Amanda is also survived by her biological father, Emilio Reyes-Davila, of Melbourne, FL, who saved her life in 1989 by donating his bone marrow; half-brother and half-sisters, Lynsey Reyes of Clementon, NJ; Fernando, Angelica and Franjesca Reyes-Casiano of Reading; maternal grandparents, Shirley Shaffer of Harrisburg and Victor Gonzalez and his wife Nilda of Youngstown; paternal grandmother, Jessie Liddick of Lexington, NC.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Capital Area Christian Church at 1775 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg. Inurnment will be at the convenience of her family. A visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. until time of services in her church.
