A two car collision in Pike County Saturday claims the life of a teenage girl.

Authorities say just before 12:30 p.m. a westbound car driven by 18 year old Brendan Weber of Bowling Green was making a turn off Highway 61 onto Route AB when his car was hit by a southbound car.

Weber escaped injury in the collision. A passenger in the car, Hannah Buchanan, 15 of Frankford, was not as fortunate and died after being taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Investigators say the driver of the car that struck the victim was driven by 65 year old Martin Snyder of Cecilia, Kentucky. Snyder and his 63 year old wife Veronica were both injured in the crash and taken to a Hannibal hospital for treatment.

All four of the people involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
