Intoxication manslaughter charges have been filed against a 27-year-old woman accused of killing a Kingwood couple in a traffic accident near Greenspoint on Beltway 8 early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

The suspect, Camile Ermine Stanley, was allegedly driving a gray Nissan Altima in the wrong direction when she collided head-on with the victims' white Ford Focus in the 1900 block of Beltway 8 at approximately 4:15 a.m., HPD reported. The impact forced the Ford Focus across two lanes of traffic and to collide with another car.

The occupants of the Ford Focus, identified as Kingwood High School alumni Emily Preston and Kevin McDougall, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to HPD and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Preston graduated from KHS in 2008 and McDougall in 2007.

"A white Ford Focus and silver Ford Fusion were traveling eastbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway East. Stanley was driving a gray Nissan Altima in the wrong direction, westbound in the eastbound lanes of the Sam Houston Parkway, and struck the Ford Focus head-on, knocking the vehicle across two lanes of traffic toward the Ford Fusion," HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall reported. "The Fusion then struck the Focus, which flipped on its right side and burst into flame. The driver and passenger of the Focus died at the scene. The driver of the Fusion was not injured. Stanley was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital to be treated for her injuries."

Stanley, of Baytown, is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in the 230th State District Court. Her combined bond is $60,000.
