Ryan Lamar Slaughter, 21, of Culpeper died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born October 28, 1990 in Charlottesville to Roderick Leroy Slaughter and Jessica Newman.

Ryan was in the first graduating class of Eastern View High School in 2009 and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Woodville.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Summira Harris of Culpeper, his significant other, Courtney Moore, the mother of his child, Margaret Harris, maternal grandmother, Christine Newman Hackley of Culpeper, maternal grandfather, Charles Bannister and his wife, Ruby of Culpeper and paternal grandmother, Dollie "Mollie" Jordan and her husband, Melvin.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Raelyn and Ryanna Slaughter, both of Fredericksburg, special cousin, Michael Slaughter, his good friend, Nicholas Glascoe and numerous other close family, friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Roderick Slaughter, Jr., one aunt, Gennifer Slaughter, his grandfather, Thomas Slaughter and step grandfather, Melvin Hackley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Tinsley, Sr., Dr. Milton L. Branch, Sr. and Judith Freeman Moss officiating.

Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Prentice Newman, Raymond Newman, Michael Slaughter, Nicholas Glascoe, D'Andre Wilkins and Sherman Slaughter, Jr.
