A MAN allegedly murdered in a deadly love triangle worked at the popular Golden Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay.

Amin Sthapit, 30, suffered fatal stab wounds to his stomach, when he was allegedly knifed inside a Darling Point unit yesterday.

Mr Sthapit studied in Nepal, before moving to Sydney, where he worked part-time at the eastern suburbs pub.

The manager at the hotel today refused to comment on the employee's death.

"I can't comment, I'm sorry," the female manager said.

The man accused over the killing did not appear in court today.

Roy Abanales Tabalbag, 28, is accused of stabbing Sthapit, 30, to death with a knife between 10 to 10.30am in a Darling Point unit on Mona Rd yesterday.

After allegedly murdering Sthapit Tabalbag is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Gee Cy Rebucas, 28, between 10.45am and 11.10am. She suffered minor knife wounds and was taken to hospital.

Emergency crews found the Sthapit lying in the unit in a critical condition with stab wounds to his stomach.

Paramedics worked to revive him as he went into cardiac arrest, but he died at the scene.

Tabalbag, which Penrith Local Court heard also had an Apprehended Violence Order against him, didn't apply for bail and it was formally refused for him to re-appear at Parramatta Local Court on January 15 with the brief of evidence to be served by December 24.

Tabalbag allegedly fled to western Sydney after the alleged frenzied attack, where he is believed to have family, before turning himself in to St Marys Police Station at 3pm yesterday.
