Kyle Spencer Golson was born on November 19, 1991 and lived in Olympia, Washington, throughout his life. He died at home on August 20, 2012.

Kyle attended Olympia High School, Avanti High, and South Puget Sound Community College. He worked at the Salvation Army and was proud to be the youngest employee ever hired.

Kyle loved his family and friends. He had a gentle soul and big heart, was kind and loyal, and always saw the good in others. Kyle was passionate about music, was an accomplished guitarist and drummer, and was very creative. He worked as a sound man for the Olympia Jazz Festival and other various events. He also loved to hang out with his cat, Chip.

Though Kyle's life was short in years, he lived it to the fullest. His friends and family knew he was always there to listen and make the world a little brighter. Those who were lucky enough to experience it also know he gave the best hugs. He was a gift to all of us and we are grateful for him.

Kyle leaves his parents, Ted and Bridget, of Olympia; sister, Stephanie, of Seattle; and many loving relatives and friends.

Kyle's Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 445 North St., SE, Tumwater. Reception to follow.

Donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Olympia Chapter.
