Daulton Wayne Donahue, 19, of Martinsville passed unexpectedly from this life on Friday, October 19, 2012 in Indianapolis.
He was born on November 4, 1992 in Bloomington, Indiana, to David James "Jamie" Donahue and Jennifer K. (Hicks) Cragen.
A lifelong resident of Martinsville, Daulton attended Martinsville High School and was a member of the class of 2011. He was currently employed by Martin Tree Service and had previously worked in sales. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, martial arts, baseball, wrestling and being with his friends. He was a loving and protective big brother, son and grandson with a childlike spirit who enjoyed making others laugh. Throughout his short life, Daulton triumphed one of lives greatest adversities at a young age. He battled cancer at the age of 16, never surrendering to the disease, while providing a positive attitude for family and friends.
He leaves behind a host of loving family and friends including his mother, Jennifer K. Cragen of Martinsville; father, Jamie Donahue of Martinsville; step-father, Nick Cragen of Martinsville; two sisters, Keirsten Donahue and Amelia Rose Cragen both of Martinsville; grandparents, Terry & Diane Vandagrifft, Wayne Hicks, Kenny & Brenda Cragen and Gini Watts all of Martinsville and Tom & Donna Donahue of Florida; uncle, Bruce Hicks of Martinsville and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 24th from 10-11:00 a.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home
Burial will follow in Centerton Cemetery.
