The College Acres Baptist Church lined Eastwood Road with American flags to honor the memory of their fellow church member and Marine Master Sgt. Aaron C. Torian. Torian died February 15 of wounds when conducting combat operations in Afghanistan.
Church members lined Eastwood Road with American flags to remind those passing by College Acres Baptist Church, of the sacrifice of Aaron Torian and show support his family.
"We decided to put the flags out because at on church Sunday, there was just so much distraught and we all felt like we wanted to do something. This was something we could do to let them know were here and we love them and we are praying for them" said church member Dan Wegert.
The flags are along Eastwood Road complete with a memorial sign outside of the church.
Master Sergeant Aaron Torian's funeral will be held Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Arlington National Cemetery.

Jesse A. Leonard, 33, of St. Bernice, died at 5:21 p.m. May 18, 2016, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Born April 12, 1983, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Dennis J. Leonard and Teresa Laznik Leonard.
