Owego: Dalton K. Tiefenthaler, 13, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Henry and Lorna Tiefenthaler; his brother, Dylan Tiefenthaler; his grandparents, Verna (Mynes) and Raymond Bielicki, Barbara Tiefenthaler; several aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and many good friends. He was predeceased by both his grandfathers, Henry Tiefenthaler, Sr. and Darrell Mynes. Dalton was born in Johnson City, NY on August 10, 1998 and was a 7th grade student at the Owego Apalachin Middle School. He loved football and played both modified football and for the AYFL. He was a member of the GOST Swim Team and also the Ski Club. Dalton was a drummer, and played in the jazz band at school as well. He especially enjoyed video gaming on his X-Box, the outdoors, camping, or just hanging out with friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the South Apalachin Baptist Church, 4116 Pennsylvania Ave., Apalachin, NY 13732 on Monday, December 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Jayne officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit at the South Apalachin Baptist Church on Sunday, December 11, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. Those wishing may consider a memorial contribution in memory of Dalton to the Owego Apalachin Middle School, Student Activities, 3 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego, NY 13827 to support the football team, swim team and band.
