Jeffrey R. Barnfather was born in Seattle, WA on Feb. 5, 1960, and passed away April 26, 2014 in Kirkland, WA after a prolonged illness. He started his life with his twin sister Jan, growing up in the Ballard/Crown Hill area.

Jeff graduated from Ballard High School in 1978. Taking great pride in quality workmanship, he worked as a silk-screener for the next 17 years, where he eventually started his own business, Barnfather Speciality Printing. He would later enjoy a 13-year career with Genie Industries, in Redmond.

Jeff loved motorcycles, cars old and new, especially ones that had style & flair. In keeping with the Barnfather tradition, he had kept his 1st car & his 1st motorcycle for several decades. His passion for motorcycles led him to purchase his Harley-Davidson, 'Elvis'. The camaraderie of his fellow bikers he met through his WHO Group (WA Harley Owners) was a true joy.

Jeff loved riding and taking care of his horses, being outdoors where he could just tinker about, & mowing his beloved lawn. He was a master at remembering quotes from action movies, particularly Clint Eastwood.

We will miss our Brother, Brother-In-Law, Uncle, and "Barney" as he was known to his friends. He had a delightful and wickedly-sharp wit. He was so much fun to be with. Jeff was clever and always willing to listen. He would listen--then make you laugh.

His life has touched more people than we realize.

Jeffrey Barnfather is the son of the late Robert Fenwick Barnfather and the late Anna Marie (Petty) Barnfather. He is survived by his sister Judith (David) Wahl of Kirkland, his brother James (Linda) Barnfather of Sequim, his twin sister Jan (Rick) Waters of Kenmore, nephews Scott Simonsen of Mill Creek, & Sean Simonsen, (Ruby Quemuel) of Wellington, NZ, & six great-nephews and nieces, plus his best buddy since kindergarten, Bill Maser.
