Beloved husband, father, son, brother, "Papa" and friend David Lowery passed away peacefully on July 16, 2015, at the age of 49, after a 17-month battle with cancer. Dave was born in Virginia in 1966, and traveled the world with his military family until settling in Alaska at the age of 8, and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1984. He worked for Mayflower in Anchorage, Alaska, and spent nearly 30 years in the transportation industry, ending up in the Pacific Northwest, where he met the love of his life and went to work for Gordon Trucking. He was a member of the PNC Thunder in the Valley motorcycle club, and loved to feel the wind on his face. He was a "big Teddy Bear," never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. The presence of his big heart, fantastic sense of humor, gusto for life and incredibly selfless, generous nature will be missed by all he touched. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Larisa of Bonney Lake, Wash.; sons, James and Travis and their families of Portland, Ore.; stepson, Andrew Brinkerhoff of Bonney Lake, Wash.; parents, Dave and Betty Lowery of Soldotna, Alaska; and sister, Dawn Lowery and her husband, John Durig of Eden, Utah; as well as his much loved and adored grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Relay For Life Bonney Lake., Wash., Team Lowery (online) or the Puyallup Nazarene (PNC) Memorial Fund, 1026 7th Ave. SW, Puyallup, WA 98371, will be greatly appreciated.
