Lorrie passed away peacefully on April 25, 2016 with Family by her side at her home in Maple Valley, WA. She fought a courageous 3 year battle with breast cancer. She was 52 years old.
Lorrie was born May 17, 1963 in Ellensburg, WA to Kenneth C. Jenks, Sr. and Evelyn Mae Jenks. She was raised in Kittitas and graduated from Kittitas High School. She then attended CWU where she met Jeff Phelan. They married and moved to Maple Valley and had 3 sons, Ryan, Trevor and Colton.
She later married Craig Shirley on 3-16-2013.
Lorrie was a wonderful Mother, wife and friend. She was fun loving and had many many friends. She loved spending time with her family fishing, loved to travel, watch sunsets and was a huge football fan of both the Seahawks and the Washington Huskys.
Lorrie is survived by her husband Craig Shirley, sons Ryan Phelan (Emma), Trevor Phelan (Livi), Colton Phelan (Bri) and stepson Zach Shirley. Father Kenneth Jenks Sr. , Ellensburg, Sister Karen Williams, Lynwood, Brothers Kenneth Jenks, Jr. (Carole) Ellensburg, Ron Bowers, Kittitas, Mel Bowers, Renton, Steve Jenks, E. Wenatchee & Rob Jenks, Ellensburg and many nieces and nephews. Lorrie was pre deceased by Mother Evelyn Mae Jenks and Brother Kenny Bowers.
There will be a Celebration of Life on May 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at New Community Church, 21401 244th Ave SE, Maple Valley, WA.
The family wishes to thank Hospice for their wonderful care and special thanks to niece Bonnie Vidonne for all the love and care she gave Lorrie through this difficult time.
