age 20, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Middleburg Heights on October 31, 1996, to Thomas and Elizabeth (John) Kiousis. Collin graduated from Medina High School in 2015, where he was a member of the cross country, soccer, and lacrosse teams. He also enjoyed playing the string bass with the High School Orchestra, and assisting back stage building sets for productions and crewing for Show Choir. Collin also spent time the past two summers doing film production work with IATSE Local 209. He was a sophomore at the University of Akron and was the President of Collin Cares Cure Cancer, a non-profit foundation he started with his parents and Aunt Connie. Through Collin Cares, he has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to local families dealing with cancer. Collin is survived by his parents, Tom and Liz Kiousis; grandmothers Barb Slama, Linda Kiousis; aunts and uncles, Patricia and Jerry Stout, Connie Gardner, Tim Slama, Jim and Karen John, Thomas and Debby John; cousins, Meredith and Connor, Abby and Gwen, Brendan, and Tyler, Andrew, Christopher, and Madison. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Connie and Jim John, Daniel Slama, and Thomas Kiousis, Jr. Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Medina Performing Arts Center, 851 Weymouth Rd., Medina, OH 44256. Reverend Tom Shaw will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Collin Cares Cure Cancer Foundation at First National Bank, 3613 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
