Lucas Scott Oeltjenbruns died Sept. 11, 2016, at the HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction. He was 27.
Luke Oeltjenbruns was born in Delta Jan. 13, 1989, to Roger and Lisa (Jones) Oeltjenbruns. He spent his childhood in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 2007.
He attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling and earned an associate degree in business.
On Aug. 1, 2009, he married Brittni West at the First Assembly of God.
He enjoyed baseball, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, working and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brittni Oeltjenbruns; one son, Colton Luke Oeltjenbruns; his parents, Roger and Lisa Oeltjenbruns; a sister, Mandi (Zack) Ahlberg; parents-in-law, Danny and Jacki West; grandparents, Bob and Sandy Oeltjenbruns and Bobby Jones; sister-in-law, Jaimi (Chris) Comerer; brother-in-law, Brent West; nieces and nephews, Cooper, Ellie, Kayson, Kinnley, Karleigh, Kambrie, Jared and Audrey; and extended family. All of his family members live in Delta.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen Jones; and four babies that were lost to miscarriage.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Delta High School gymnasium. Burial will follow at the Delta City Cemetery.
Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
