The shocked family of a Bentley Park woman who is believed to have died in suspicious circumstances have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Traffic controller China Crawford, 32, did not show up for work on either Tuesday or Wednesday, prompting colleagues to go to her house where they discovered a body.

The exact cause of her death remains unknown until a post mortem is undertaken.

Det Insp Geoff Marsh said earlier today they had not formally identified the body, but "reasonably believed" it was the resident.

He said Ms Crawford's family had been told.

"They are assisting us with our investigation and they too call on anyone with information to come forward at this time," he said.

It is understood that Ms Crawford has lived at the Herald St duplex for at least two years and was the sole occupant.

She was last seen after leaving work on Monday afternoon.
