Navi Lu Nielsen 17, of. Cairo Nebraska was called home on March 24, 2018, from injuries she sustained as a result of a car accident. Navi was born on September 4, 2000, in Logan, UT. She is the beloved daughter of Cory and Staci (Swenson) Nielsen.

Navi was in her Junior year of high school where she was active in many activities and school organizations. Throughout her high school career, she was involved in Softball, Lacrosse, Basketball, Track, Cheerleading, FBLA, Speech, One Act, Student Council, and worked with elementary school children in the after-school program. She enjoyed writing, cooking, politics, debate, traveling, music and was an avid reader. Navi was actively involved in the Young Women's program. She was a very talented student and loved learning new things. She couldn't wait to go to college. Most of all she loved her family and friends to the core. "Do not go gentle into that good night" is how she always lived, and she fought courageously and endured to the very end. Her tenacious drive and personality was loved and admired by so many. She will forever be loved and missed.

Navi is survived by her parents, her brother Riley, her sister Kennedi, her grandparents Michael and Darien Swenson of Nibley, UT, Danny and Diane Nielsen of Wellsville, UT, along with many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle Brock, her friend Bailey, and her great grandparents. We would like to thank everyone for the love, support and prayers our family have received during this trying time. We would also like to thank the many doctors and nurses at the University of Nebraska Medical Center that cared for Navi. We are forever grateful for the kindness, care and compassion that you gave Navi as well as us.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Nyman Funeral Home located at 753 South 100 East, in Logan. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Nyman Funeral Home and again on Monday prior to the service from 10:00-11:30 AM.
