Especially this part: "Police in The Village later found the corpse in the trunk of a car in the garage."
Heartwarming Lifetime stuff.

I wouldn't be sad if he had killed himself instead? I think that would have been worse to be honest.

Although it doesn't sound like there's a woman character that Connie Selleca can play. Bummer since she's in like 86% of Lifetime movies.

Oooooops, brb.
Btw, this is why I hate perfectionist parents, they verbally and phisically abuse kids into being "perfect" just because they can't get over the fact that THEY failed in something in life or they are just freak fanatics. I feel very sorry for Andrew, he probably just wanted to be a normal kid and enjoy the sports he played.

I agree the dad sounds like a giant asswipe but really killing the man and using his credit cards makes your life better, how? Now he gets to rot in jail and get beat up and assraped by guys he's not related to. Great trade-off

So, I'm a little torn on my opinion with this one. As I was reading the article, I was totally on this kid's side...at first. I hate that he had to deal with an overbearing father all of his life. But why didn't he just stand up to him? I mean, he was 20 years old, for cryin' out loud. He was an adult! He didn't have to deal with that constant ridicule! But then I read his myspace page and then I realized that he was a weirdo too. He just took on the general "look" and attitude of a weirdo with all of his crazy friends and death metal. And why did he slash AND stab his father? A little overkill much? Granted, his dad probably drove him to insanity, but why live in a house for 10 days with your dead father in the garage? That's a little too spooky for me. And where is the mother figure in all of this? I mean my parents drove me crazy, but never enough to kill them, much less stab them repeatedly. So many unanswered questions. Good luck kid.

I think you answered your questions yourself, if you have an overbearing parent putting you down and building you up sporadically and crazily then how can we expect him to even know he could stand up to him, how can we expect him to have a reasoned and balanced view of the situation.... we can't.

ahh..i feel this kid. i go thru this with my mom and basketball. i didnt become the trackstar like she did but im good at basketball. her bullying (verbal and physical) me over that at home and at games would make me hate the game i loved so dear. typical virgo parent who bullys thier kid b/c she is like perfect to me. but im not. i love her to death but sometimes... i can only be me..but thats never enough..ive thought many times but never acted on this like this kid. you think he was scared when he acted..he is scared shitless now that his dad is gone..as we all think we cant survive without that parent. that is what they count on...like you cant function w/o them..emotional scarring at its best.

ironically enough i was in a punk band in high school with this kid and he was a spoiled only child and the favorite until his little sister maggie i think was her name was born...his dad was a little more than crazy....his dad was verbally abusive to all of us in the band and hit him a few times at practice when he left the room....the kid was a little messed up in the head and drifted farther and farther into dark violent music after the band broke up,,,,didnt know what happened to him until a month or so after he was arrested...i dont know whats going on with him now i asked a buddy of mine who was on his way to court in the same transport as him but unfortunantly he was being released and couldnt tell me shit.
