It was actually less then a month after the operation when she killed herself but I rounded it up.
I wonder if she left a note or anything. I'd love to know if the operation contributed to her suicide.

Her mom's myspace has pictures of Chelsey in the casket. Sorta creepy.
R.I.P. Chelsey
I take it that she didn't shoot herself in the head then?

Wow, open casket with a shot to the mouth? They cleaned her up very well. Must've been a clean hit. Yuck, that is someone's daughter, I just had a moment of morality and decency and really got hit heavy with the fact that Chelsey's gone, someone's sister, someone's daughter, someone's friend, is gone. Weird. Rest in peace, Chelsey, you were so young to have to go through so much.

She says she's "very worried I lost the chance of having a family." Poor girl. RIP Chelsey

I saw that I posted the article remember! But I wonder if there were other things contributing to her suicide too.

I saw that I posted the article remember! But I wonder if there were other things contributing to her suicide too. Do you suppose it could have been hormonal, either induced by hormone replacement therapy or a lack of hormonal balance after the partial hysterectomy? I've heard hormonal imbalances can wreak havoc on one's mental status.

Umm doesn't the uterus have to be removed for it to actually be a hysterectomy? I am guessing that if only one of her fallopian tubes and one ovary was removed that she still might be able to have kids. I wonder if no one explained this to her. My mom had a hysterectomy about 15 years ago, and she has to take synthetic hormones for the rest of her life. If this girl was on hormone therapy that could have contributed to her wanting to commit suicide. BTW, can someone link the moms myspace? RIP Chelsey

Poor girl. Why doesn't someone delete those retarded pictures (of her with the condoms) from her myspace page?? Making Minnesota look so bad....it's not enough that we don't know how to build solid bridges, now we have to exploit the teen population's promiscuity!! By the way, My high school was the first in the state to offer their very own daycare. (insert cheerleader smiley here) Olivia, Thank you for putting up with me tonight. I will have to up my research skills and find a new article since it appears that MDS has cornered the death market.

Wow this must be something horrible to go through at 17 years old!! Maybe she got depressed over the fact that having a family would be even harder for her. So sad, and to add to the shock she committed suicide on my birthday. R.I.P. Chelsey

Those pictures gave me a chill. Looks like she shot herself in the forehead or temple maybe? I wonder about the hormonal imbalance too. Just seems odd. Weeks before her suicide she was talking about having a family. Poor girl. RIP Chelsey.

Salpingo-oophorectomy Definition The surgical removal of a fallopian tube and an ovary. Purpose This surgery is performed to treat ovarian or other gynecological cancers, or infections as a result of pelvic inflammatory disease. Occasionally, removal of one or both ovaries may be done to treat endometriosis. If only one tube and ovary are removed, the woman may still be able to conceive and carry a pregnancy to term. http://www.lifesteps.com/gm/Atoz/ency/salpingo-oophorectomy.jsp
