Michael Platt, who would have begun his junior year this month, died of sudden cardiac arrest syndrome during a June 21 workout at the school. He was 16. Police have arrested two suspects who eluded officers early Sunday after a car chase that left one man dead and two other people injured. Police said one of the five people in the 4Runner was pronounced dead at the scene, two were taken to Denver Health Medical Center, and the other two were uninjured. A 22-year-old Dayton man is killed when the car he was driving travels off the right side of eastbound I-70 and strikes a construction barrier wall. Nicholas Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene. His vehicle had burst into flames after striking the wall.   read more...

On August 5, 2003 around 11:08 pm my brother was stopped at a red light 2 blocks from his and our parents house (he lived down the alley from my parents) along with my 13yr old nephew he had just went to go get to spend the night with him when a man walked up to his window, as my brother turned to look at him he shot my brother point blank in the chest and in his heart!! As my brother tried to pull away he shot at the car several more times. He made it to my parents house and banged on the garage door yelling to my father "Dad I've been shot. He collasped in my fathers arms saying "Dad don't let me Die!" At 12:07am August 6,2003 (59 minutes later) my brother, bestfriend and the "love of my life" DIED in the emergency room at the hospital that was 10 minutes from his house. I still can't believe it!! In one moment my whole life was destroyed along with my familys and his 4 yr old daughter and 7yr old son. I am totally devastated and broken hearted!! It is so unbelivable. My 27yr old brother was murdered on a attempted carjacking on his car. They still haven't found the person that did it.   read more...
Christopher Jacob DeWease (18) died when his car hit another vehicle, a deer, a mailbox, utility pole, and a fence
Two teenage brothers from Salem and their two buddies, both of Craig County, were in a car together on Dec. 31 when it hit a deer and crashed in Craig County. Two of the men are dead. One remains hospitalized. Loved ones on Friday remembered Christopher Jacob DeWease, 18, of Salem, at funeral services in New Castle. The avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fixing cars died this week of injuries suffered in the wreck, state police said.   read more...
Carl Richard Valentine III (16) died when the truck he was traveling in smashed into a tree
A Taneytown teenager was killed Wednesday evening when the car he was riding in hit a tree off Trevanion Road, state police said. Carl Richard Valentine III, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Robert D., 16, of Clayton, N.C., was listed in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Police said Robert was driving a 1989 Mercedes north on Trevanion Road about 6:30 p.m. when the car went off the road, came back, skidded across the center line and hit a tree. A 17-year-old has died in hospital after a car he was travelling in hit a tree in Lincolnshire. Police said the car, which was carrying five people, came off the road and collided with the tree at Syston Park in Grantham on Saturday. A one car accident killed a southeast Minnesota teenager Wednesday. The accident happened about two miles east of Chatfield around noon. That's when nineteen year old Phil Rogers of Chatfield lost control of his pickup and rolled. The accident killed fifteen year old Daysha Hanson of Chatfield.   read more...
Katie Ernstes (16) was killed when she lost control of her car less than a mile from her home
A 16-year-old Shelby County girl is dead after she lost control of her SUV less than a mile from her home. Family and friends are mourning the loss of a very special teenager. Katie Ernstes died Tuesday night on German Road in Shelby County, just a short distance from her family's home. Her friends at Shelbyville High gathered Wednesday to comfort each other as they wonder why this happened to their classmate.   read more...

Terri Marks said she has heard car tires screeching several times over the years as motorists try to avoid hitting burros crossing Reche Canyon Road in front of her Colton home. Saroeutrh Phim, 21, died at the scene of the accident about 11 p.m. Thursday north of Moreno Valley, said Maribel Solorio of the Riverside County coroner's office.   read more...

A crash that killed two 15-year-old high school students happened after the driver and passengers were distracted by a spider, authorities said. The 17-year-old driver of the Nissan sedan told Department of Public Safety investigators that she and three others in the car were considering whether to catch or kill the spider when the car drifted off Interstate 17 early Wednesday, Sgt. Three people have died following a murder-suicide in Milton Police found two men shot to death and a wounded female when they were called to a residence on the 1300 block of Washington Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to dispatcher with Cabell County 911. Police say 27-year-old Jason Carder apparently shot and killed Robert Brian Shockley of Oakdale, Calif. He then chased his wife, Lara Carder, outside and shot her twice.   read more...
Heather Carney (17) was killed when she hit a tree at a high rate of speed which split her car in half
A Brownsville Area High School senior was killed Monday in a one-vehicle accident that split her car in half. According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper David Hamer, Heather Carney, 17, of Allison 2, lost control of her vehicle while driving at a very high rate of speed near Allison 1. The vehicle first went off the right shoulder on Davidson Siding Road, and then swerved back onto the road and across both lanes, turning onto Allison Road. The vehicle then went off the left side of the road, where the driver's side of the car struck a tree stump, splitting the car in two from side to side and ejecting the driver.   read more...

Twenty-year-old Natalie St. Onge of St. George was a passenger in a car that left the road and rolled over several times. A 16-year-old girl crashed her car into an oncoming vehicle in a suicide attempt, counting down the moments before impact in text messages sent to the female classmate who spurned her, authorities say. Serassio watched through her windshield as an officer lifted J.J.'s stiff, 5-foot-tall, 125-pound body from the driver's seat. Deputies escorted Darla Serassio to her mother's house next door. They kept her inside for at least 30 agonizing minutes while police secured the area as a crime scene. Unable to take it any longer, she pushed her way to her son's body as it lay uncovered on the pavement near the garage. In a full-page note left on the passenger seat in his best handwriting, J.J. addressed his parents, grandmother and sisters individually. He described himself as an outcast at school and at church. Samuel A. Walker, 17, of Parish, died Monday, July 31, 2006, as the result of a 1-car accident on Co. Rt. 26 in Parish. Born in Syracuse, he was life resident of Parish and was a 2006 graduate of A.P.W. High School, Parish. He had a schol-arship to attend Clarkson University in the fall. Jesse Little (21) was killed when his friend crashed her car into a tree at over 100 mph
A 17-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter for crashing her car last week on the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Arlington and killing one of her passengers. Authorities say the girl was driving more than 100 miles per hour when the black Lexus veered off the road and crashed into a tree Sept. 28. Her name was not released because she's a juvenile. Jesse Little, 21, of Great Falls was riding in the back seat and died in the crash.   read more...
Patrick Boyles (18) died when his car became airborne and struck a gas station awning
A Honda Accord somehow went airborne Saturday morning and crashed into the awning above the gas pumps at the Radiant station in Land O'Lakes. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the car was headed south on Collier Parkway and approaching State Road 54 around 1:45 a.m. Saturday. The Accord hit an embankment, went into the air and hit the top of the gas station - which is 15 to 20 feet over the pumps.   read more...
Eduardo Quiones (17) was shot to death when the car he was traveling in came under gun-fire
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6500 Whitton about 3 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 23). The victim, identified as Eduardo Quiones, 17, of 6600 Whitton suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.   read more...
