A Bakersfield man was killed downtown on Sunday after being ejected from his car. Police said the car caught fire and rolled several times near 23rd and C streets shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday. The victim, Carlos Ortiz, 31, was ejected and died shortly after the accident at Kern Medical Center. A Pensacola teen died in a one-car crash early Tuesday morning at Brent Lane east of Davis Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Keondre J. Floyd, 19, was speeding east on Brent Lane at about 1:34 a.m. when the car ran off the roadway onto the south shoulder of Brent Lane, according to the crash report. The car went through the parking lot, struck a concrete parking curb, turned over on its left side and continued heading southeast. Police on Friday released the names of two men found dead on the beach Wednesday morning. Police found a car they believed the dead man had been driving. Inside the trunk was another dead body, clothed, with a single gunshot wound to the head. The man found in the trunk was Levi Duty, 23. Duty was a resident of Cookeville, Tenn. A Waukesha West High School student died Wednesday after the car she was driving crossed the center line of Oakdale Road and struck a pickup truck. Witnesses said the northbound Toyota driven by Justine Pellmann, 18, drifted onto the shoulder near Glendale Road about 7:15 a.m., Waukesha sheriff's Detective Steve Pederson said. Pellman may have overcorrected, causing the car to cross the center line and strike the southbound pickup. Both girls were ejected from a vehicle believed to be speeding near 56th Street and Carefree Highway when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled, said Sgt. Jim Kempher, Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman. It is not known if the girls were wearing seatbelts, he said. Nicholas T. According to police, Katelyn Disessa and her fiancé James Rousseau, 21, of Leominster were driving on Route 62 shortly after 6 PM when David Zoller, 33, who was traveling on the other side of the road, crossed the center line and struck the couple’s car. Disessa was brought to Clinton Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The medical staff tried to save the baby, but was unsuccessful.
