Chad Rose, 18, of Powderly died Thursday at Paris Regional Medical Center from injuries received in a one-car accident.

The collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on County Road 33980, north of Gate 2 Road. The victim was transported to the hospital, where Justice of the Peace Precinct 5, Place 1 Cindy Ruthart pronounced him dead.

Rose was one of two passengers in a 1995 Dodge pickup truck driven by Dustin Armstrong, 19, of Lamar County. Armstrong was not injured in the crash, and a 17-year-old passenger also escaped injury.
