Derek Richard Sullivan, 27, of Coventry died suddenly Sunday, (July 9, 2006) at Manchester Hospital. Derek was born May 11, 1979 in Manchester son of Richard and Carol (Radziewicz) Sullivan. Derek grew up in Coventry where he participated in youth football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from Coventry High School in 1997 where he played basketball and baseball. He was a student at Central Connecticut State University where he was scheduled to graduate in May 2007. While at school he played on the rugby team. Most recently, he was a member of the Hartford Wanderers Rugby Team. Derek worked at Highland Park Market for the past 11 years, starting in Coventry, moving on to Manchester and most recently was a Produce Manager in Suffield. Derek was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. His other interests included fantasy football and playing softball for the Highland Park Market League.
