Carter Thomas Jackson, age 18, of Coppell, Texas, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 31, 2007 in Lewisville. A beloved son, loving brother, and a true friend, Carter always brought a smile to the faces of his friends and family.
Carter was born Aug. 25, 1988 in Lubbock to Diane and Lanny Jackson. He was enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program of the United States Marine Corp pending graduation from high school. He was a member of the Coppell High School Wrestling Team and Valley Ranch Baptist Church.
Carter is survived by his mother, Diane Jackson and Mark Abel of Coppell; father, Lanny Jackson of OíDonnell; sister, Kallie Jackson of Coppell; brothers, Jordan Jackson of New York and Tanner Jackson of Coppell, and Mark's children, Lindsay, Nathan and Andrea of Coppell; grandparents, Guy and Allene Warden of Baird, Maurice and Patsy Jackson of O'Donnell; Aunts and Uncles, Cathy Warden, Tracy and Leo Stewart, Pattie Jackson, Grif Griffin, and Charlie Crabtree; cousins, Courtney Stewart, Mandy and Buddy Thompson, and Sarah Griffin; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 E. Beltline Rd., Coppell, TX 75019, (972) 304-8722. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 at Valley Ranch Baptist Church. A private interment will be held at a later date.
Carter's family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Carter's name to the: World Craniofacial Foundation, 7777 Forest Avenue, Ste. C-621, Dallas, TX 75251-5838, (800) 533-3315. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville is in charge of the arrangements.
